I must start by saying that I am not vegan/vegetarian, however, I love trying out different dishes and of course, visiting restaurants in and around Cape Town and sharing my experiences with you...
A friend of mine told me about this amazing restaurant on the beach front in Blouberg and told me that the décor screams "Simply Dannii"! The first thought that came to mind when she told me the name was waffles and ice-cream. (if you know me, you know that nothing will ever come between me and ice-cream, EVER!)
As we all do, I proceeded to check them out on Instagram and really loved the way the place looked, (I'm really a sucker for a good looking restaurant - for pictures of course - but if the food and drinks are just as good its such a bonus).
You know that feeling you get when something or someone looks better in person than on a picture? that Is exactly how I felt walking into this intimate, modern - farm house chic space. I immediately fell in love with the design and was crossing all fingers that the food was going to be just as good, they are called Yo Goodness Cafe after all. I had a Chai Tea and a Nutrition bowl which was tasty and pretty good. I had vegan food before and was also pretty impressed with their nachos. The host Thabo was so amazingly friendly and accommodating, I felt as if we were invited to our own private lunch. All in all I had a great experience and would definitely go back to try their other dishes, they have a nice variety, from burgers to soups and are quite affordable.
If you are in the area and want to try something different, healthy and affordable with a gorgeous view of the ocean and Table Mountain I will definitely recommend Yo Goodness Cafe.
