My celery juice journey started just over 2 months ago. I have been struggling with a lot of health issues for as long as I can remember and just didn't know what to do, seeing doctors, hospitals and specialists but never feeling like I am getting the results or feeling 100% confident that the problem I went for was sorted. 2018 was a turning point for me, I suffered from severe colds, aches and pains all over my body, migraines - the list goes on...
After spending so much money seeing doctors and specialists (as medical aid does not cover everything and me being so dependent on doctor's advise) I decided to do some research myself - about my body. I started by pin pointing what exactly I was doing on the day or the day before, is it when I am at work, when I eat certain foods or drinking? when I am amongst my peers - you will never believe the effect people can have on your life without you knowing. Apart from all these ailments I have also been suffering from hormonal imbalance for many years (and make it a point to see a gynaecologist at least once every year) due to the imbalance, I have suffered from acne, facial hair growth, and don't get me started on the yeast infections.
I decided to get more serious about my lifestyle and knew that changes needed to be made and soon!
I started making changes to my eating and drinking habits. I started walking and working out (nothing strenuous - you should do what works for you and what makes you feel better) I started taking my multi-vitamins religiously and even added Flax Seed Oil (omega 3:6:9 as well as a daily pro-biotic).
While doing my research celery juice kept popping up everywhere. I eventually caved in and decided to look more into it - I have not looked back. This juice has plenty of benefits, but if there is a few that stands out for me based on my personal experience it is definitely my skin, it has helped with my digestion, I have little to no heart burn, I have not felt sick or sniffy the last 2 months - this is the first thing I drink every morning on an empty stomach. Its not the best tasting juice, and while this has not been the cure to all the health issues I have been experiencing the last 2 years, it has definitely assisted me on my journey of getting to know my body and living a healthier life!
I buy my celery at Checkers or Woolworths - it is inexpensive and hopefully stays that way, as we all know once something becomes popular the price goes up! (probably also one of the reasons I've been taking so long to write about this - hehehe)
I hope me sharing my story helps you in some way - big or small... Please do share your experiences below with Hormonal imbalance. Any Gyni recommendations? I am looking forward to learn from you!
Smooches darlings!
