I am the kind of person who loves to celebrate every occasion (or like Iron Bae would say, like to create and make every little thing a special occasion) - with a theme of course. This year is no exception, with the festive season upon us, I thought I will share 4 of my favorite DIY Christmas gift ideas I will be making this year and sharing with my friends - which they will love.
So if you are someone that dislike going to malls, or just on a strict budget (like me) and love crafting , these personalized DIY gifts will be perfect and they are so simple to make.
1. Lemon and Rosemary Sugar Scrub - I am sure your friends and family will enjoy this even after the festive season - you can save some for yourself as well.
1/2 Tspn fresh Lemon
2 Tbspn Rosemary dried Leaves
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbspn lemon essential oil
1 Tbspn Rosemary essential oil
1/2 cup Grapeseed Oil
2. Chai Tea Latte Mix - make your own and put it in jars and dress up with a festive ribbon - your tea loving buddies will definitely enjoy this!
2 tspns ground cardamon
2 tspns ground all spice
2 tspns ground nutmeg
4 tspns ground cinnamon
2 tspns ground cloves
6 tspns ground ginger
Mix all the ingredients together - 16 servings
3. Butter Biscuit Recipe - what will Christmas be without some good old butter biscuits.
250g Butter
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 cup maizina
1/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Flour to make a soft dough about 2 and a half cups. (for chocolate biscuits add i 3 tablespoons cocoa powder)
Method: Cream butter and icing sugar then add oil and vanilla essence
add maizina and flour
Pipe or cut and bake at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes
Once cooled decorate as desired
